La Burrera ha la meritata reputazione di essere una delle migliori immersioni delle Isole Canarie. Questo luogo è spettacolare per il suo paesaggio labirintico, con grandi rocce, archi, colonne, cornicioni e per l’abbondante vita che ospita, sia fauna che flora.
It is one of the few places in the archipelago where the kelp forest is still preserved, without having been devoured by the long-spined sea urchin.
The currents and swell have preserved this oasis of plant life in the vast desert of spines. This site may be a glimpse of what the seabed around the islands could have looked like before it was altered by human activity.
Sea conditions and the distance from the nearest port mean that we do not often have the opportunity to dive here. It is a dive at an ideal depth, although it is very easy to become disoriented due to the uniformity of the landscape and because the marine life can fascinate us so much that we lose our reference points for finding our way back.
We should not overlook the school of striped seabream that gives this dive site its name.
