Being able to dive through this labyrinth carved into the rock is a true privilege. Here, we will discover passages, caves with huge columns and multiple exits, arches, and rocky walls covered in a colourful carpet of algae that provide shelter for an oasis of life.
Schools of anchovies, bogues and white seabream weave in and out of the nooks and caves, swimming harmoniously to the gentle murmur of the waves.
There are only a few occasions when the sea allows diving in this area, which is perhaps why it reserves particularly special moments for us to discover it.
On this dive, it is best to go with someone who knows the area well, as the route is somewhat complex and it is relatively easy to become disoriented.
Visibility may also be limited, as this is an area with strong currents and shallow waters. Here, we can encounter gorgonians, groupers, barracuda, black seabream, saddled bream and many other species.
It is important to plan this dive in advance, making sure that both the oceanographic and weather conditions are suitable.
It is a spectacular yet very shallow site, meaning that currents and swell can have a major impact on it. For this reason, it is recommended to visit only on days with optimal conditions.
