In this picturesque spot, the rock is arranged in a stepped formation, creating a wide amphitheater, as if it were a Roman circus. A field of red and yellow gorgonians, which adds color and exoticism to the dive, sits atop the steps, adorning them for a grand performance.
The actors are the damselfish, moray eels, amberjacks, fusiliers and, of course, the school of trumpet fish that gives the dive area its name.
If there is current, it is advisable to dive Caribbean-style, meaning to let yourself be carried along and ascend with a safety buoy so that we can be picked up by the support boat.
To maximize and optimize the time spent at the bottom, it is best to go first to the deepest step (30 m) to ascend through the other two steps and finally do the safety stop at mid-water, enjoying the blue that can always provide us with some surprises.
On the reef, damselfish and snappers are common, and we may also spot some captain fish and black sea bass.
