Viva Blue Diving: a new chapter for Pura Vida Diving Lanzarote
After more than ten years as part of the diving community in Playa Blanca, Pura Vida Diving Lanzarote begins a new chapter under a new name: Viva Blue Diving.
From Pura Vida Diving Lanzarote to Viva Blue Diving
More than ten years ago, we opened our doors in Playa Blanca with a name that perfectly reflected how we felt: Pura Vida.
Since then, thousands of you have passed through our doors. Some arrived feeling nervous and left with a huge smile on their face. Others came as customers and ended up becoming part of the family.
Today we want to share something important with you, and we wanted you to hear it directly from us.
From today, we are Viva Blue Diving.
Why are we changing our name?
We know what Pura Vida means to you, because it means just as much to us.
It’s the result of years of growth, of welcoming divers from all over the world, and of realising that this dive centre has become bigger than the island where it was born.
We needed a name that could be understood and spoken in any language without losing who we are.
The meaning behind the new Viva Blue Diving logo
If you look at the new logo, you’ll understand:
- A sun, because it always shines here.
- A volcano, because we come from this land of black volcanic rock and its underwater landscapes.
- A wave, because beneath it lies everything that matters to us.
What stays the same with Viva Blue Diving?
This is what we really want you to remember: when you arrive at the dive centre, you’ll find the same familiar faces.
The same instructors who taught you how to equalise, breathe slowly and never rush.
The same excitement every time someone sees their first ray or their first angel shark at the Museo Atlántico.
Your vouchers, bookings and ongoing courses remain exactly the same.
You don’t need to do anything.
¿What is changing?
What is changing is that we’re more excited than ever. The boat, the dive centre and our uniforms will gradually be changing colour.

And we want to build the future the same way we’ve built everything up to now: with you in the water.
We’re still diving in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
We’re still the same team, and we’ll continue sharing our way of experiencing diving in Playa Blanca and Lanzarote with everyone who comes through our dive centre.
Pura Vida brought us this far. Viva Blue will take us even further.
We’re not leaving behind who we are. We’re expanding it.
